Women’s CC Finishes Fourth at CTC Championships

Sophomore Sarah Bannon finished 22nd at the CTC Championships on Saturday.

Pomona, NJ, (October 18, 2008) – The DeSales University women's cross country team posted a fourth place finish out of 10 teams at the CTC Championships held at Richard Stockton College on Saturday morning.

The Bulldogs totaled 95 points, 18 behind third place Mansfield University. Leading the way was freshman Catharine Harmon (Charlton, MA/Shepherd Hill) with a 12^th place finish individually in a time of 17:11.64 on the 4K course.

Junior Alessandra LaMastro (Flanders, NJ/Pope John XXIII) was next across in 16^th place with a time of 17:27.37 and junior Beth Malseed (Claymont, DE/Archmere Academy) was across in 20^th place in a time of 17:48.10. Rounding out the top five was sophomore Sarah Bannon (Bayonne, NJ/Holy Family Academy) in 22^nd place in a time of 17:54.27 and junior Jeanine Walsh (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan) was 28^th in a time of 18:02.12.

DSU returns to action in two weeks when they travel to Elizabethtown College for the MAC Championships.
