Kevin Lawrence Named Freedom Conference GK/D of the Week

Senior Kevin Lawrence allowed just one goal in two starts last week for the Bulldogs.

Annville, PA (October 19, 2009) – Senior Kevin Lawrence (Norristown, PA/Kennedy-Kenrick) of the DeSales University men's soccer team was named the Freedom Conference GK/D of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.

Lawrence made his first two starts of the season last week and was outstanding. He allowed just one goal in leading DSU to a 2-0 record, making 11 saves and recording one shutout as the Bulldogs defeated King's College, 1-0, and FDU-Florham, 3-1, last week. Lawrence has now appeared in five games this year making 16 saves and allowing just three goals for a 1.00 GAA.

The Bulldogs are currently 10-4 overall and 3-1 in the Freedom Conference. DSU returns to action on Wednesday, October 21^st when they travel to Manhattanville College for a Freedom Conference beginning at 3:30 pm.
