Curry Runs Well as Bulldogs Compete at Paul Short Invitational

Junior Mike Curry ran very well, taking 36th place at the Paul Short Invitational.

Bethlehem, PA (October 2, 2009) – Junior Mike Curry (Kennett Square, PA/Salesianum) ran well once again, finishing 36^th overall, leading the DeSales University men's cross country team to a 27^th place finish out of 38 teams at the Paul Short Invitational held at Lehigh University.

The Bulldogs finished with 590 points in a race featuring several Division I and II schools. Curry finished the 8K race in a time of 25:51 and was followed by junior Kevin Gwinn (Center Muriches, NY/Saint Anthony's) in 79^th place in a time of 26:22.

Rounding out the top five for DeSales was sophomore Brent Clauser (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) in 124^th place in a time of 26:44, sophomore Alex Clemson (Sewell, NJ/Washington Township) in 167^th place in a time of 27:02, and junior Jack Tarpey (Freehold, NJ/Freehold Township) in 187^th place with a time of 27:12.

The Bulldogs return to action next Saturday, when they host its DSU Invitational on Saturday morning.
