Bethlehem, PA (November 14, 2009) – The DeSales University women's cross country team finished up its 2009 season with a 26th place out of 44 teams at the NCAA Division III Mid-East Regional Championships held around the corner at Lehigh University.

Junior Sarah Bannon (Bayonne, NJ/Holy Family Academy) was the top DSU finisher in 105th place in a time of 24:28.9. Senior Jeanine Walsh (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan) ran well in her final CC race in a Bulldog uniform in 130th place in a time of 24:47.8 and fellow senior Alessandra LaMastro (Flanders, NJ/Pope John XXIII) also ran well with a 154th place finish in a time of 25:10.9.

Rounding out DSU's top five were freshman Rachel Winters (Mertztown, PA/Kutztown) in 184th place in a time of 25:54.0 and senior Beth Malseed (Claymont, DE/Archmere Academy) in 192nd place in a time of 26:05.8.
