Bulldogs Finish Season at ECAC Outdoor Championships

Sophomore Pete Moreni and junior Shannon Webb were among the top finishers at the ECAC Outdoor Championships.

Springfield, MA (May 16, 2009) – The DeSales University men's and women's outdoor track & field teams concluded their 2009 outdoor season on Thursday and Friday at the ECAC Outdoor Championships held at Springfield College.

The men totaled one team point as three individuals competed over the two days and the women had four teams points to finish 43^rd of 56 teams as three individuals and two relays took part in the two-day event.

On the men's side sophomore Pete Moreni (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan) concluded a terrific '09 campaign with a stellar eighth place finish in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 55.68 seconds.

Leading the women was junior Shannon Webb (Bensalem, PA/Archbishop Ryan) who took home fifth place in the heptathlon with 2,919 points. The 4x100-meter relay team also performed well as they placed 14^th of 22 teams in a school-record time of 50.10 seconds. Members of the team included freshman Nicole Chickey (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic), junior Lauren Annucci (Aston, PA/Padua Academy), senior Bridgette McGinnis (Newtown, PA/Pennsbury), and Webb.
