Gwinn/Curry Help Bulldogs Finish 7th at Dickinson Long/Short

Junior Kevin Gwinn was 11th in the 8k race at Dickinson College on Saturday.

Carlisle, PA (September 19, 2009) – The DeSales University men's cross country team took home seventh place in the Dickinson College Long/Short Invitational on Saturday morning on a gorgeous day for running.

The Bulldogs tallied 196 points to take home the seventh spot in the combined scoring of the 4K and 8K races. In the 4k race, junior Michael Curry (Kennett Square, PA/Salesianum) was the top finisher taking home 13^th place in a time of 12:38.0. Senior Andrew Ferretti (Sinking Spring, PA/Wilson) was next across in 35^th place (13:12.8) and sophomore Brent Clauser (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville) was just behind Ferretti in 37^th place (13:13.7).

In the 8K race junior Kevin Gwinn (Center Muriches, NY/Saint Anthony's) was the top finisher in 11^th place (27:07.5). Senior Justin Cuga (Newark, DE/Salesianum) was 51^st in a time of 28:14.7 and junior Jack Tarpey (Freehold, NJ/Freehold Township) was 59^th in a time of 28:31.7.

The Bulldogs don't return to action until Friday, October 2^nd when they travel to the Paul Short Invitational at Lehigh University.
