Middletown, CT (February 13, 2010) – The DeSales University women's track and field team took home 16th place with 16.5 points on Friday and Saturday at the CTC Indoor Championships held at Wesleyan University.

Among the top finishers were senior Alessandra LaMastro (Flanders, NJ/Pope John XXIII) in seventh place in the one mile run in a time of 5:45.52. Sophomore Ashley Wade (Hackensack, NJ/Paramus Catholic) was fifth in the weight throw with a toss of 41-06.00 feet and eighth in the shot put (33-10.00 feet) and sophomore Katie Kelly (Warminster, PA/Archbishop Wood) was seventh in the triple jump with a jump of 31-05.25 feet.

Junior Amee Siegel (Breinigsville, PA/Kutztown) was fifth in the shot put (8-06.25 feet) and freshman Cara Maloy (Northport, NY/Northport) rounded out the top finishers with a sixth place showing in the pentathlon (2,136 points).

The Bulldogs return to action this weekend when they travel to Susquehanna University for the Susquehanna Open on Friday, February 19th.
