Lidlow and Magrann Honored on All-Freedom Conference Team

Senior Kelly Magrann and junior Lori Lidlow combined for 41 points in the Bulldogs Freedom Conference championship game win.

Center Valley, PA (March 1, 2010) – Junior Lori Lidlow (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) and senior Kelly Magrann (Sinking Spring, PA/Holy Name) were each honored on Monday morning as the conference office announced the All-Freedom Conference Team with Lidlow earning First-Team Honors and Magrann taking home Second-Team honors as voted on by the eight Freedom Conference coaches.

The Bulldogs won its third straight Freedom Conference Championship over the weekend, defeating Manhattanville College in the title game for the second straight year, and will enter the NCAA Tournament with an 18-9 overall record. DSU has won 12-straight games and are 13-1 in their last 14 games entering the “Big Dance”.

Lidlow is making her second appearance on the All-Conference First-Team after also earning First-Team honors as a freshman at Lebanon Valley College. Lidlow led the Bulldogs in scoring and ranked second in the Freedom Conference at 18.1 points per game this season and was named the Freedom Conference playoffs Most Valuable Player. She scored her 1,000th career point during the season at Muhlenberg College and is also tops on the Bulldogs with 64 steals on the year.

Magrann had an amazing second-half of the season for DeSales to earn her first-ever spot on the All-Conference team. After averaging just 3.5 points over the first eight games of the season, Magrann's level of play increased dramatically as she averaged 15.4 points over the final 14 games of the year and will enter play in the NCAA Tournament averaging 11.0 points per game for the season. She is shooting 42.3 percent from outside the arc and has a team-high 58 made three-pointers. Magrann was outstanding in the Freedom Conference Championship game, scoring 18 points on a 5-of-6 effort from long range.

The Bulldogs will travel to Ithaca College and will also face the Bombers in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament. Game time is set for 8:00 pm.
