Lexington, VA (March 27, 2010) – The DeSales University women's track and field team opened its 2010 outdoor season at the Washington & Lee University Invitational on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon.

Among the top finishers were junior Sarah Bannon (Bayonne, NJ/Holy Family Academy) in 12th place in the 5,000-meter run (19:50.04), junior Katie Kelly (Warminster, PA/Archbishop Wood) in 12th place in the triple jump (9.86m), and sophomore Ashley Wade (Hackensack, NJ/Paramus Catholic) in 15th place in the shot put (9.09m) and 10th place in the hammer throw (37.06m).

The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday, February 7th when they travel to the DeSchriver Invitational at East Stroudsburg University.
