Philadelphia, PA (April 24, 2010) – Senior Justin Del Piano (Monmouth Junction, NJ/South Brunswick) and the 4x400-meter relay team each took home eighth place competing at the 116th Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, PA this week.

Competing on Tuesday and Wednesday, Del Piano became just the second student-athlete at DeSales to compete individually at the Penn Relays. He took eighth place in the decathlon breaking his own school-record in the process with a total of 5,983 points.

On Friday the 4x400-meter relay team took eighth place out of 10 teams, one spot ahead of local rival Moravian College with a time of 3:27.72. Members of the team were freshman Ben Badilla (Bensalem, PA/Archbishop Ryan), junior Paul Ecker (Bethlehem, PA/Notre Dame), junior Pete Moreni (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan), and sophomore Brent Clauser (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville).
