Annville, PA, (June 17, 20010) – The Middle Atlantic Conference released its 2010 Spring Academic honor roll and 26 DeSales University student athletes were honored. Included in the honorees were eight from the men's outdoor track & field team, eight from the women's outdoor track & field team, three from the softball team, two from the baseball team, two from the women's tennis team, and one each from the golf, men's lacrosse and men's tennis team. The MAC recognizes all sophomore or higher class standing student-athletes who carry a 3.20 GPA or higher and compete in varsity athletics at their institution for the entire fall season.

Among the athletes honored were senior Justin Cuga (Newark, DE/Salesianum) on the men's track & field team and the winner of the outdoor track & field MAC Scholar-Athlete award this season. Senior Andrew Ferretti (Sinking Spring, PA/Wilson) was also honored from the track & field team having earned the cross-country MAC Scholar-Athlete award and earning an NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship in the fall.

Sophomore Christine Petrilla (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) was recognized as two-sport star in both softball and women's tennis and junior Kenny Engel (Philadelphia, PA/The Academy of the New Church) was honored as DSU's top golfer.
