Reading, PA (October 1, 2013) – Junior Mikel Lezama scored his first career goal in the 67th minute on Tuesday evening helping the DeSales University men's soccer team start a new winning streak with a 2-1 win at Albright College in non-conference action.

Lezama broke a tie at one at 66:37 off an assist from sophomore Stevie Castellani.  The win improves the Bulldogs to 6-5 overall after seeing their recent five-game win streak snapped on Saturday vs. Lebanon Valley College.  Albright falls to 4-5-1 overall on the season.

DSU had taken a 1-0 lead just 7:37 into the game when freshman Wes Frebel scored his team-leading fifth goal of the year on an assist from fellow freshman Alex Manzo, but the Lions countered tying the game just 2:09 later as the game remained deadlocked until Lezama's game-winner midway thru the second-half.

Albright had an 11-6 edge in shots and enjoyed a slim 4-3 advantage in corner kicks in the game.  Junior Colin Sulpizio made two saves in between the pipes.

DSU returns to action on Saturday, October 5th when they travel to Manhattanville College for the first Freedom Conference game of the season beginning at 5:00 pm.
