Annville, PA, (December 17, 2013) – Seniors Alexiah Grant and Kyle Hash of the DeSales University men's and women's basketball teams have each been named the Freedom Conference Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Grant was outstanding in DSU's lone game last week, a 56-46 win over local rival Muhlenberg College, in which she shook off an 0-for-8 start from the field in the game to score a game-high 23 points and add six steals in the win.  She finished the game shooting 10-for-27 from the field.  On the season she is now averaging a team-high 16.1 points per game.

Hash had a strong week averaging a team-high 14.7 points per game and 6.3 rebounds per game leading the Bulldogs to a 2-1 record.  He opened the week with 20 points in the upset win over #9 St. Mary's College (MD).  He added 14 points in the win over PSU-Berks and was just one rebound shy of a double-double (10 points, 9 rebounds) in the loss to Muhlenberg College.  On the season he is now averaging 10.9 points and 3.9 rebounds per game for the Bulldogs.
