Dallas, PA (October 17, 2014) – Misericordia University broke open a 1-1 tie in the 54
th minute with three goals in the span of 7:32 to hand the DeSales University field hockey team its first Freedom Confernece loss of the season, 4-1, on Saturday afternoon.
MU (9-6, 3-1 Freedom) scored just 23 seconds into the game to take a 1-0 lead and held onto that lead throughout the first-half despite the Bulldogs (9-6, 3-1 Freedom) out-shooting the Cougars, 7-3, in the opening 35 minutes and out-cornering MU, 8-2.

Meryah Harding tied the game at one just 4:36 into the second-half scoring her fifth goal of the season off an assist from freshman
Kelly Meade and the game remained tied for the next 14 minutes until Misericordia began its surge.
Hannah Harvey scored at 53:47 to make it 2-1 and
Lindsay Hischak made it a two-goal game just 1:21 later with her second goal of the game. Hischak then struck again at 61:19 to put Miseri up 4-1 and the Bulldogs were unable to recover.
DSU finished the game out-shooting Misericordia, 16-13, and had a 13-7 advantage on penalty corners. Junior
Becky Rasmuson made six saves in between the pipes in the loss and senior
Rachel Wysocky had a defensive save.
The Bulldogs will look to get back into the win column on Wednesday, October 22
nd when they host Manhattanville College in a very important Freedom Conference game scheduled to begin at 3:00 pm.
