Annville, PA (October 24, 2017) - Both the DeSales University men's and women's cross country teams have been picked to finish among the top three previewing this weekend's MAC Cross Country Championships as voted on by the CC coaches and as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning.

Men's CC Preview
The Bulldogs have been picked third by the other 17 coaches just behind Messiah College and Stevenson University.  DSU has finished among the top three in each of the last 10 years including winning the MAC Championship in 2007 and taking home three second place finishes.

Junior Gabe Lamm (Coplay, PA) is expected to lead the charge for the Bulldogs having taken home three top 10 finishes already this season and having earned All-MAC First-Team honors last season with a seventh place finish.

Women's CC Preview
The defending MAC Champions have been picked second by the other 17 coaches, receiving four first place votes and finishing just behind Misericordia University in the voting.

DSU won its first-ever MAC Championship last season and has been among the top three in each of the last five years.

Senior Veronica Wheeler (Yardley, PA) is the defending individual champion and is expected to make a run at repeating that performance this year.  Also in the mix to finish among the top ten are senior Beth Dauer (Newton, NJ) and junior Meaghan Driscoll (Glen Gardner, NJ), who each earned All-MAC First-Team honors last season.

This year's MAC Championship will be hosted by Delaware Valley University.
