Veronica Wheeler added yet another honor to her long list this season being named the MAC Women's Track & Field Runner of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.
Wheeler shattered her own school-record competing in the 5K at the Boston University Invitational on Saturday afternoon. She posted a time of 17:08.65, nearly 30 seconds faster than her previous best. The time is also a new MAC record and is the fourth fastest time in the country this season. The time would have been the fifth fastest in the country last season in which the top 18 in each event qualify for the NCAA Division III National Championships.
