Indianapolis, IN (February 27, 2017) – The DeSales University women's basketball team is once again dancing earning one of 20 Pool "C" bids into the NCAA Tournament as seen on the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball selection show on Monday afternoon.
The Bulldogs (20-7 overall) will face Husson University (22-4), an automatic qualifier out of the North Atlantic Conference and based in Bangor, ME on Friday evening. The game will take place in Medford, MA at Tufts University with the Jumbos (25-2) taking on St. Joseph's College of Maine (24-4) in the other first round game Friday. The two winners will then face-off on Saturday for the chance to advance into the "Sweet 16". Game times are expected to be in the evening on both days and will be announced tomorrow.
DSU is making its 12
th appearance into the NCAA Tournament and its first since the 2011 season. DeSales has advanced as far as the "Sweet 16" during the 2008 season, falling to eventual National Champion Howard Payne University that season. The Bulldogs are 5-11 all-time in the NCAA Tournament.

th season sporting a record of 515-225 (.696). Richter has guided DSU to 14 20-win seasons.
The Bulldogs are led in scoring by senior
Morgan McCollian averaging 15.1 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. Sophomore
Leandra Sterner also averages double digits at 12.4 points per game and sophomore
Morgan Birmelin is third in scoring at 8.1 per game and leads the team dishing out 4.2 assists per game.
