Brian Gillow played baseball from 1997-2000 and his pitching helped lead DeSales to three conference championships and three NCAA Division III Regional Tournament appearances.

Gillow was named to the All-PAC First-Team in 1997 and later the All-Freedom Conference First-Team in 1999 and 2000. He won the Freedom Conference Player of the Year and Pitcher of the Year awards in 2000 and was also named to the ABCA All-Mid-Atlantic Region Second-Team in 1999.

Gillow has 334 career strikeouts, the most in DeSales history. He ranks second all-time in innings pitched (259 1/3), earned run average (2.88), and complete games (13). He is also fourth all-time in games started (36) and wins (22).

He holds the DeSales single-season record for shutouts (three in 1997), strikeouts (106 in 1999) and games started (12 in 2000). Gillow also holds the record for strikeouts in a single game with 16 against Marywood in 1997.

After college, Gillow played one year for the London (Canada) Werewolves of the Frontier League. He played the next season for the Fargo-Moorhead (N.D.) RedHawks before being traded to the Allentown Ambassadors, where he spent some time before retiring from baseball.

Gillow is entering his 10th year teaching at Honesdale Middle School as a health and physical education teacher. He has been married to his wife Chris for eight years. They have two sons, Calum, 3, and Weston, 1.
