Hannis-Ehl was a standout player on the volleyball team for four years. During her four years, the volleyball team accumulated a 103-46 (.691) record, won three Pennsylvania Athletic Championships, and advanced to one NCAA Tournament. She was named to the AVCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region team in 1996, was the Female Athlete of the Year in 1994-95, and was honored as the volleyball team Most Valuable Player all four years of her career. At the time of her induction she was still the all-time leader in kills (1,617), kills per game (3.66), total attacks (3,278), hitting percentage (.379), and block assists (244). She also ranked eighth in digs (1,017), second in service aces (278), second in solo blocks (166), and second in total blocks (410).
