Luciano was a standout four-year player on both the men’s basketball and baseball team at DeSales. On the men’s basketball team he earned NAIA District 19 First-Team honors twice in 1984 and 1985, while also earning EPAC (Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference) First-Team honors in 1984. At the time of his induction he was one of just three players all-time in men’s basketball to finish his career with 1,000+ career points, 700+ career rebounds, and 200+ career assists. Luciano also continues to rank among the all-time leaders in points scored (1,338 – 9th), rebounds (709 – 7th), assists (230 – 16th), steals (132 – 12th), field goals made (518 – 10th), and free throws made (302 – T-4th). Stats for the baseball team prior to the 1990’s are not available but Luciano was named to the NAIA District 19 Second-Team as first baseman in 1985.
