Charlie Barebo became the 14th player in DeSales University baseball history to sign a professional contract as he earned a spot on the New Hampshire Wild roster late last week.
Barebo joins the Wild, who play in the EPBL, Empire Professional Baseball League. He is the 14th Bulldog to play professional baseball at any level.
He played two years at DeSales after transferring as a junior from Rowan University. In his two years he earned All-MAC Freedom First-Team honors twice and was named the MAC Freedom Player of the Year as a junior. Barebo earned ABCA All-Region Second-Team honors as a junior and Third-Team honors as a senior. In addition he was also named the Dr. John Compardo Male Athlete of the Year in 2018. In two years he batted .358 with 39 doubles and 71 RBIs.
