Annville, PA (April 27, 2009) – Junior Kevin Walker (Wilmington, DE/Salesianum) was named the Freedom Conference Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.

Kevin Walker was tremendous this past week leading DeSales to its first-ever MAC playoff berth with wins over Alvernia and Messiah to earn the #5 seed. He had two goals and went a perfect 14-for-14 in face-offs in the win over Alvernia picking up 17 ground balls in the win. On Saturday he was also terrific winning 12-of-20 face-offs with six ground balls in the win over Messiah. The win was DSU's first-ever over Messiah in 13 career meetings. On the season he now has 13 goals and four assists for 17 poitns and has won 65.2% of his face-offs (167-256).

The Bulldogs season came to an end this afternoon with a 6-10 overall record after they fell to Elizabethtown College 9-2 in the opening round of the MAC Conference playoffs.
