Allentown, PA, (October 14, 2004) – The DeSales University women’s soccer team had its two-game winning streak over the weekend snapped on Thursday afternoon as Cedar Crest College defeated the Bulldogs 1-0 in overtime in a non-conference game.

The Falcons scored the game-winner with just 1:04 left on the clock in the first overtime as Brittanney Smith scored on a header off a corner kick pass from Ariana Weisenreder.  DSU had controlled most of the game and out-shot the Falcons, 18-11, but CCC was able to find the back of the net first and record its 10th win of the season.

Sophomore Kelly Hinkle (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) made six saves in the loss.
DSU returns to action on Saturday, October 16th as they return home to face Wilkes University in Freedom Conference action beginning at 1:00 pm.
