Center Valley, PA, (October 14, 2004) – The DeSales University field hockey team was unable to find the back of the net on Thursday afternoon as Wilkes University blanked the Bulldogs 4-0.
Wilkes scored twice in each half as Lauren Risser and Amanda Woodle each scored two goals for the Colonels. Risser tallied both of her markers in the first half at the 5:04 mark and the 13:53 mark. Both were unassisted goals.
In the second half, Woodle scored her first off a centering pass from Erin Henry at the 59:36 mark and the second just five minutes later on a penalty corner as she re-directed a shot from Risser who took the corner from Melissa Quinn.
Senior Shavonne Hannahoe (Shoemakersville, PA/Hamburg Area) made four saves in between the pipes for the Bulldogs.
DeSales returns to action on Monday as they host local rival Moravian College at 4:00 pm.
