Center Valley, PA, (October 2, 2004) – The DeSales University volleyball team saw their homecoming on Saturday afternoon spoiled by visiting Alvernia College, 3-0 (30-23, 30-28, 25-30, 30-28), in non-conference action.
Senior Michelle Piel (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville Area) led the Bulldog attack with 17 kills and 15 digs. Freshman Allie Boyer (Douglassville, PA/Daniel Boone) added 11 kills and 18 digs, sophomore Janna Sheckler (Lehighton, PA/Lehighton) added 10 kills and five blocks and junior Colleen Arthur (Ridley Park, PA/Cardinal O’Hara) registered a team-high 19 digs.
DeSales returns to action on Wednesday, October 6th as they entertain Delaware Valley College in Freedom Conference action at 7:00 pm.
