Women’s Soccer Posts Second Straight Shutout, 1-0, over Lancaster Bible

 
Center Valley, PA, (October 23, 2004) – The DeSales University women’s soccer team posted its second straight shutout win on Saturday as they blanked Lancaster Bible College, 1-0, in non-conference action in the Bulldogs last home game of the season.
 
        Junior Rachel Emmons (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) scored the lone goal just 4:19 into the game off an assist from senior Kathryn Smith (Merrick, NY/Mepham).  It was Emmons’ ninth goal of the season and the first assist of the season for Smith.
 
        Sophomore Kelly Hinkle (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) needed to make just one save in recording her fourth shutout of the season as DeSales out-shot the Chargers, 10-3, in the win.

         DeSales returns to action on Tuesday as they travel to Delaware Valley College for a Freedom Conference contest beginning at 2:30 pm.
