Annville, PA, (October 9, 2004) – The DeSales University field hockey team took on 14th ranked Lebanon Valley College on homecoming afternoon in Annville, PA and fell to the Flying Dutchmen, 5-0.
The Flying Dutchmen scored four times in the first half to put the game out of reach and added one more tally in the second half to record the final margin. Steph Marguglio scored two goals and added on assist and Alyssa Stine scored one goal and added three assists to lead LVC’s scoring attack.
Senior Shavonne Hannahoe (Shoemakersville, PA/Hamburg Area) made five saves in the loss for the Bullodgs as LVC out-shot DSU, 15-4, in the game.
DeSales returns to action on Tuesday as they travel to FDU-Florham for a game beginning at 4:00 pm.
