Antolick Leads DeSales Past Cabrini, 54-27

Box Score

Radnor, PA, (December 11, 2004) – Senior Alyssa Antolick (Bethlehem, PA/Bethlehem Catholic) scored exactly half of the DeSales University points in leading the Bulldogs past Cabrini College, 54-47, in a non-conference game on Saturday afternoon.

Antolick tallied 12 of her points over the last seven minutes to help DSU record the win.  With DeSales leading by just one point, 36-35, her lay-up ignited a 10-3 run over the next 4 ½ minutes giving the Bulldogs a healthy 46-38 lead with 2:58 remaining.  Antolick scored all 10 of the points during the run.  Cabrini was able to cut the lead to five points with seven seconds left but could get no closer.

Antolick’s season-high 27 came on the strength of 10-of-19 shooting.  Senior Holly Liebl (Kutztown, PA/Kutztown) added nine points and sophomore Jenn Osborne (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) tallied six points and grabbed a team-high eight rebounds.

Cabrini was led by Erin Shemar who scored 11 points and Sharae Middlebook who added 10 points for the Lady Cavaliers.

DeSales now has a few weeks off for the end of the semester and the Holidays and will return to action on Tuesday, January 4th as they travel to Gwynedd-Mercy College for a non-conference game beginning at 7:00 pm.
