Center Valley, PA, (September 1, 2004) – Junior Rachel Emmons (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) scored two goals to lead the DeSales University women’s soccer team past Keystone College in a non-conference game on Wednesday afternoon.
 
        Sophomore Rachel Roderer (Stewartsville, NJ/Timothy Christian) scored the game’s first goal just 2:36 into the contest as she took advantage of a Giant turnover and scored.  Emmons made it 2-0 just four minutes later with her first marker of the contest as she took control of a goal kick and scored from about 25 yards out.
 
        Keystone cut the lead in half at the 15:28 mark as Lacy Stardeter scored to make it 2-1 but senior Meaghan Laurich (Warminster, PA/Archbishop Wood) scored from about 30 yards out to give DSU a 3-1 halftime edge.
 
        In the second half, the Giants got within one goal once more as Alysia Townsend scored at the 54:37 mark to make it a 3-2 game but Emmons notched her second goal of the game in the 59th minute to push the lead back to two goals.  Sophomore Jessica Tate (Warrington, PA/Mount St. Joseph Academy) added an assist on Emmons second goal.
         DeSales returns to action on Saturday as they host Philadelphia Biblical University for another non-conference game beginning at 1:00 pm.
