Immaculata, PA, (September 9, 2004) – The DeSales University volleyball team dropped its sixth straight match, 3-1 (30-22, 29-31, 30-20, 30-25), at Immaculata College in non-conference action on Thursday evening.
Junior Kimberley Werner (Wescosville, PA/Emmaus) tallied 17 kills in the loss to lead the attack. Senior Michelle Piel (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville Area) added 13 kills and 13 digs, freshman Allie Boyer (Douglasville, PA/Daniel Boone) tallied 10 kills and 10 digs and freshman Gia Zimmerman (Blandon, PA/Reading Central Catholic) dished out 41 assists and had 15 digs. Junior Colleen Arthur (Ridley Park, PA/Cardinal O’Hara) added a team-high 16 digs.
DeSales returns home on Saturday as they host a tri-match with Cedar Crest College and Elizabethtown College beginning at 10:00 am.
