Center Valley, PA, (September 22, 2004) – The DeSales University women’s soccer team suffered its third straight defeat at the hands of visiting Lebanon Valley College, 1-0, in double overtime of a non-conference game on Wednesday.

 

        The Flying Dutchmen scored at the 102:48 mark of the second overtime as Lisa Giaquinto took a loose ball in front of the net and fired it into the upper right corner past the Bulldog keeper.  LVC had controlled most of the two overtime periods as DeSales failed to record a shot in the extra periods.  The Flying Dutchmen out-shot DeSales, 23-14 in the game.

 

        Sophomore Kelly Hinkle (Stewartsville, NJ/Timothy Christian) made nine saves for the Bulldogs in between the pipes as DeSales fell to 3-4 overall on the season.

 

        The Bulldogs will return to action on Saturday as they stay at home to host Baptist Bible College in a non-conference game beginning at Noon.
