Madison, NJ, (September 22, 2004) – The DeSales University volleyball team fell at FDU-Florham, 3-0 (30-16, 30-26, 30-18), in the first Freedom Conference match of the season for the Bulldogs.

 

        The loss drops DeSales to 3-11 overall and 0-1 in the Freedom.  Leading the attack was senior Michelle Piel (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville Area) with 11 kills and eight digs.  Sophomore Janna Sheckler (Lehighton, PA/Lehighton Area) added seven kills and three blocks, while freshman Gia Zimmerman (Blandon, PA/Reading Central Catholic) added 25 assists.

 

        DeSales returns home on Saturday as they host Arcadia University in a non-conference match beginning at 1:00 pm.
