Center Valley, PA, (September 25, 2004) – The DeSales University volleyball team defeated Arcadia University, 3-0 (30-25, 30-27, 30-14), in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

 

        The Bulldogs (4-11 overall) were led by freshman Allie Boyer (Douglassville, PA/Daniel Boone) with a team-high 10 kills and eight digs.  Senior Michelle Piel (Pottsville, PA/Pottsville Area) and sophomore Janna Sheckler (Lehighton, PA/Lehighton) each had nine kills with Piel adding 11 digs and Sheckler totaling six blocks.

 

        Junior Colleen Arthur (Ridley Park, PA/Cardinal O’Hara) tallied a team-high 16 digs and freshman Gia Zimmerman (Blandon, PA/Reading Central Catholic) dished out 35 assists in the win.

 

        The Bulldogs return to action on Tuesday as they travel to Lycoming College for a Freedom Conference match beginning at 7:00 pm.
