Center Valley, PA, (September 25, 2004) – Senior Michael Hoch (Allentown, PA/Salisbury) scored just his second career goal to lead the DeSales University men’s soccer team past Baptist Bible College, 1-0, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

 

        Hoch, who made his first start of the season and was playing in just his ninth career game, took a long pass from freshman Kyle Moore (Hockessin, DE/Salesianum) and fired a shot past the Defenders goalie and into the net.  Freshman Brad Ferguson (Galloway, NJ/St. Joseph) making his second start of the season recorded two saves for his first career shutout.

 

        DeSales out-shot Baptist Bible, 24-8 and held a 9-3 advantage on corner kicks.

 

        DeSales returns to action on Monday as they host Lycoming College in a Freedom Conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
