Field Hockey’s Win Streak Snapped at Three, Lose to Cedar Crest, 2-1

 
Center Valley, PA, (September 25, 2004) – The DeSales University field hockey team had its three-game winning streak snapped on Saturday as the Bulldogs lost to Cedar Crest College, 2-1.
 
        The Falcons scored twice in the first half to take a 2-0 lead and held on in the second half to record the win.  DSU made it a one-goal game with just over nine minutes left in the game as freshman Jen Pulcini (Easton, PA/Easton) scored her first career goal as she re-directed a shot from fellow freshman Rachel Coleman (New Castle, DE/Padua Academy) into the net.
 
        Bulldogs’ goalkeeper Shavonne Hannahoe (Shoemakersville, PA/Hamburg Area) made nine saves in the loss as DSU was out-shot 16-8.
 
        DeSales returns to action on Wednesday, September 29th as they host Stevens Institute of Technology at 4:00 pm.
