Madison, NJ, (September 5, 2004) – The DeSales University field hockey team dropped its second straight game at the Drew University Tournament to open its first-ever season, 3-0, to Cabrini College on Sunday morning.
The Bulldogs (0-2 overall) trailed by just one goal after the first half of play as the Cavaliers made it 1-0 at the 13:05 mark. CC added another at the 48:36 mark and the final tally in the 66th minute. Senior Shavonne Hannahoe (Shoemakersville, PA/Hamburg Area) made four saves including a save on a Cavalier penalty stroke for DeSales.
DeSales returns to action and hosts its first-ever home game on Thursday, September 9th as local rival Moravian College comes to town for a 4:00 non-conference game.
