Field Hockey Win Streak Snapped at Four, Fall to Lebanon Valley 4-0

Center Valley, PA (October 1, 2005) – The DeSales University field hockey team saw its season long winning streak of four games snapped on Saturday afternoon at the hands of the 14th ranked Lebanon Valley College Flying Dutchmen, 4-0.
 
        LVC (9-2 overall) took control early and never really looked back against the Bulldogs (8-4 overall).  The Flying Dutchmen scored all four of its goals in the first half with Shauna Enck scoring the first three and Steph Marguglio adding the final tally at the 29:04 mark of the first half.
 
        LVC out-shot DSU, 26-6, in the game and held a 14-2 edge in penalty corners.  Sophomore Amy Zoltek (Harleysville, PA/Lansdale Catholic) made eight saves in the cage for the Bulldogs.

         The Bulldogs will try to start a new winning streak on Wednesday, October 5th as they travel to Delaware Valley College for a Freedom Conference game beginning at 4:00 pm.
