Women’s Soccer Falls at Widener, 2-0

Chester, PA (October 11, 2005) – The DeSales University women’s soccer team lost a non-conference game at Widener University, 2-0, on Tuesday afternoon.
 
        The loss drops the Bulldogs to 6-4-1 overall, while the Pioneers improve to 7-4-2 overall with the win.  WU scored both of its goals in the second half as Melanie Miller scored the game-winner at the 63:13 mark and Jill Filewicz provided the exclamation point at the 75:01 mark.
 
        Junior Kelly Hinkle (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) made eight saves in between the pipes as DSU was out-shot 23-9, in the game.

         DeSales returns to action on Saturday, October 15th as they travel to The University of Scranton for a Freedom Conference game beginning at 1:00 pm.
