Center Valley, PA (October 20, 2005) – The DeSales University women’s soccer team fell to FDU-Florham, 3-1, in Freedom Conference action on a brisk Thursday afternoon in Center Valley.
Freshman Dana Eustace (Highland Lakes, NJ/Vernon Township) scored the lone Bulldog goal, her fourth of the season, in the loss. Junior Kelly Hinkle (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) made four saves as the Devils out-shot DeSales 17-5 in the game and held a 9-1 edge in corner kicks.
Scoring for FDU was Lena Kalika off an assist from Katie Daly at the 5:09 mark, Amanda Buyes from Dayna Morales at the 15:12 mark and Jordan Fornari from Allison Tangorra at the 78:01 mark.
The loss drops DeSales to 6-6-2 overall and 1-3-1 in the Freedom standings, while the Devils improve to 11-4 overall and 4-2 in the Freedom Conference.
The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday, October 22nd as they travel to Lebanon Valley College for a non-conference game beginning at 1:00 pm.
