Annville, PA (October 22, 2005) – The DeSales University women’s soccer team suffered its second straight loss on a rainy Saturday afternoon, losing at Lebanon Valley College, 1-0, in non-conference action.

 

        The Bulldogs (6-7-2 overall) were out-shot, 20-5, in the game and the Flying Dutchmen (4-8-3 overall) held a 9-1 edge in corner kicks in the win.  The lone goal came in the 38^th minute as Kristen Mauser scored her first tally of the season on a shot just inside the 18 that found the far side of the net.

 

        Junior Kelly Hinkle (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) made 11 saves in between the pipes for the Bulldogs.  Erika Ely stopped three DSU shots to record the shutout.

 

        DSU returns to action on Tuesday, October 25^th hosting Alvernia College in another non-conference game beginning at 3:00 pm.
