Two separate runs in the opening half put away the Cougars as DSU opened up a commanding 21-point halftime lead and cruised in the second frame. A 12-2 spurt over a 5 ½ minute span gave DSU a 10-point edge early and a 20-6 run including nine straight points to end the half sealed the Cougars fate.
During the first run senior Drew Christman (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall) started the rally with a trey and junior Steve Kriczky (Birdsboro, PA/Daniel Boone) totaled four points. In the second spurt, junior Sedale Walton (Levittown, PA/Harry S. Truman) scored seven of his eight points during the stretch and the Bulldogs canned four treys by four different players.
Miseri managed to get within 17 points once, 56-39, in the second half but a 17-4 run gave DSU its largest lead of the night, 30 points, and the Bulldogs cruised the rest of the way.
Sophomore Phil Stricker (Womelsdorf, PA/Conrad Weiser) led the offensive charge with a game-high 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting and Kriczky added 18 tallies on 7-of-11 from the field. Christman reached double digits with 13 and Walton finished with eight points and a team-high six boards.
Miseri was led by Tony Rezykowski and Matt Hornak with nine points apiece. CM shot just 38.5 percent from the field and committed 24 turnovers as they fell to 0-4 on the season.
The Bulldogs will look to make it three straight on Wednesday, November 30th as they travel to Drew University for the Freedom Conference season opener at 8:00 pm.
