Center Valley, PA, (March 24, 2005) – The DeSales University men’s tennis team won its third straight match with a 4-3 win over Arcadia University in non-conference action on Thursday afternoon.
The Bulldogs earned the doubles point by taking two of three doubles matches. Sophomore Ernie Justice (Blue Ball, PA/Garden Spot) and freshman Antony May (Lowell, MA/Lowell Catholic) earned the doubles point at the No. 2 position with an 8-3 win and the freshman team of RJ Connor (Syracuse, NY/Westhill) and Scott Davis (Wayne, PA/Archbishop Carroll) earned the point at the No. 3 position with an 8-6 win.
In singles competition, DSU split the three matches to earn the 4-3 win. Senior Bill Neal (Lehighton, PA/Marian Catholic) won at the No. 2 position, 6-2, 6-1, Connor won at the No. 5 spot, 7-5, 7-6 (7-5) and freshman Joe Holaska (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) won his first career collegiate match at the No. 6 position, 6-4, 6-4.
The Bulldogs return to action one week from today as they host Drew University in a Freedom Conference match beginning at 3:00 pm.
