Men’s Tennis Falls at Wilkes, 6-1

Freshman Scott Davis recorded a win at No. 5 singles to earn DSU its lone point in a 6-1 loss at Wilkes University on Tuesday.
 
Wilkes-Barre, PA, (April 12, 2005) – The DeSales University men’s tennis team lost its second Freedom Conference game of the season, 6-1, at Wilkes University on Tuesday afternoon.
 
        The loss drops the Bulldogs to 5-2 overall and 2-2 in the Freedom Conference standings, while the Colonels of Wilkes improve to 11-1 overall and 3-0 in the Freedom.
 
        Sophomore Ernie Justice (Blue Ball, PA/Garden Spot) teamed with freshman Joe Holaska (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) to win at No. 3 doubles, 8-5 and freshman Scott Davis (Wayne, PA/Archbishop Carroll) won at No. 5 singles, 6-2, 3-2 (retired) to earn DSU its lone point.
 
        The Bulldogs return to action on Thursday, April 14th as they host the University of Scranton in a Freedom Conference match beginning at 3:30 pm.
