Kuttler Ties Season Assist Record in Loss at Widener

Center Valley, PA (April 18, 2005) - The DeSales University men's lacrosse team lost its second straight game, 18-4, at Widener University in an MAC Conference game on Monday evening in Chester, PA.

     The loss drops the Bulldogs to 3-7 overall and 1-5 in the MAC, while the Pioneers stay atop the conference standings with a perfect 6-0 mark and are 6-3 overall.

     Senior Brian Kuttler (Doylestown, PA/Archbishop Wood) led the scoring with one goal and one assist for two points.  His assist give him 26 helpers for the year and tie him for the single-season record.  He leads the team in scoring with 19 goals and 26 assists for 45 points.

     Also scoring for the Bulldogs were freshman Jim Ramsey (Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge), junior Dylan Beese (Berwick, PA/Hillsborough) and junior Chris Laveglia (Medford Lakes, NJ/Shawnee) to round out the scoring for DSU.  Sophomore Ben Conroy (Easton, PA/Moravian Academy) made 12 saves in between the pipes.

     The Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday when they travel to College Misericordia for a non-conference game beginning at 7:00 pm.
