Dallas, PA (April 20, 2005) – The DeSales University men’s lacrosse team lost for the third straight time on Wednesday evening at College Misericordia, 11-10, in non-conference action.
The loss drops the Bulldogs to 3-8 overall, while the Cougars of Misericordia improve to 4-7 overall. DSU fell behind 3-1 after one period and 8-5 at the half and was never able to recover. Sophomores Ben Conroy (Easton, PA/Moravian Academy) and Mike Hensinger (Macungie, PA/Emmaus) each made seven saves in 30 minutes of play.
Leading the scoring attack was senior Brian Kuttler (Doylestown, PA/Archbishop Wood) with four goals and one assist for five points. His one helper gives him the school-record for assists in a season with 27. Junior Chris Laveglia (Medford Lakes, NJ/Shawnee) totaled three goals and one assist for four points and sophomore Andrew Stamatelos (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) rounded out the multiple point scorers with one goal and one assist.
Senior Justin Holman (Allentown, PA/Salisbury) and sophomore Dylan Beese (Berwick, PA/Hillsborough) each scored one goal and freshman Jim Ramsey (Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge) and sophomore Robert Mahon (Medford, NJ/St. Joseph’s Prep) each tallied an assist in the loss.
DeSales returns to MAC Conference action on Saturday as they host the University of Scranton at Noon on Fasching Fields.
