Madison, NJ (April 23, 2005) – The DeSales University men’s lacrosse team suffered its fifth straight loss on Tuedsay evening losing an MAC Conference game, 18-4, at FDU-Florham.
The loss drops the Bulldogs to 3-10 overall and 1-7 in the MAC, while FDU improves to 7-6 overall and 7-3 in the MAC. The Devils took a 7-2 halftime lead and led 14-3 after three periods in defeating the Bulldogs. DSU was unable to get on the scoreboard in the first period and did not score its first goal until the 12:51 mark of the second period.
Senior Brian Kuttler (Doylestown, PA/Archbishop Wood) tallied two goals, freshman Jay Young (Pittstown, NJ/North Hunterdon) scored once and sophomore Robert Mahon (Medford, NJ/St. Joseph’s Prep) also scored once to round out the scoring for the Bulldogs.
Sophomores Andrew Stamatelos (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) and Andrew Stamatelos (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) along with junior Dylan Beese (Berwick, PA/Hillsborough) each added assists in the loss. Sophomore Mike Hensinger (Macungie, PA/Emmaus) made 12 saves for the Bulldogs.
DSU returns to action on Thursday as they travel to Lycoming College for another MAC Conference game beginning at 4:30 pm.
