Williamsport, PA (April 28, 2005) – The DeSales University men’s lacrosse team suffered its sixth straight loss falling at Lycoming College, 15-6, on Thursday afternoon in Williamsport, PA.
The loss moves DeSales to 3-11 overall and 1-8 in the MAC, while Lycoming improves to 8-5 overall and 7-2 in the MAC. DSU hung tough in the first half, trailing by just two goals, 7-5, after two periods, but the Warriors out-scored the Bulldogs, 8-1, in the second half to secure the win.
Senior Brian Kuttler (Doylestown, PA/Archbishop Wood) again led the attack with one goal and two assists. Sophomore Andrew Stamatelos (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) totaled two goals and junior Chris Laveglia (Medford Lakes, NJ/Shawnee) scored one goal and added one assist.
Rounding out the scoring was sophomore Robert Mahon (Medford, NJ/St. Joseph’s Prep) and senior Justin Holman (Allentown, PA/Salisbury) with one goal each and freshman Jim Ramsey (Philadelphia, PA/Father Judge) added an assist. Sophomore Ben Conroy (Easton, PA/Moravian Academy) totaled 12 saves in goal for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs conclude its 2005 season with a home game vs. Elizabethtown College in MAC Conference action on Saturday, April 30th beginning at 1:00 pm.
