Emmons’ Goal in Second Overtime Wins it for Women’s Soccer

 
Harrisonburg, VA (September 10, 2005) – Senior Rachel Emmons (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) scored her first goal of the 2005 season, an unassisted marker at the 104:19 mark of the second overtime to lift DeSales University past Eastern Mennonite University, 1-0, in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.
 
        The Bulldogs have won two straight and improve to 3-1 on the season, while the loss drops EMU to 1-3 overall.  EMU out-shot DeSales, 14-8, in the game, while DSU held a 5-3 edge on corner kicks.  Junior Kelly Hinkle (Quakertown, PA/Quakertown) made eight saves to record her third shutout of the season.  All three DSU wins this season have come via shutout.

         The Bulldogs return to action on Tuesday, September 13th as they host their first home game of the season vs. Ursinus College beginning at 4:00 pm.
