Reading, PA (September 12, 2005) – The DeSales University volleyball fell below the .500 mark on Monday with a 3-0 (30-18, 30-22, 30-25) loss at Alvernia College in non-conference action.

 

     Leading the attack was freshman Joann Rivera (Bethlehem, PA/Freedom) with a team-high nine kills and eight digs.  Freshman Sharon Uliana (Fleetwood, PA/Reading Central Catholic) totaled 20 assists, senior Colleen Arthur (Ridley, PA/Cardinal O'Hara) and sophomore Gia Zimmerman (Blandon, PA/Reading Central Catholic) each had a team-high nine digs in the loss.

 

     DeSales returns to action on Tuesday as they travel to the University of Scranton for its first Freedom Conference match of the season beginning at 7:00 pm.
