Reading, PA (September 20, 2005) – Freshman Whitney Sementelli (Newport, PA/Greenwood) scored her first career goal in just her third career game leading the DeSales University field hockey team past Albright College, 1-0, in non-conference action on Tuesday afternoon.

 

        Sementelli’s eventual game-winner came at the 17:09 mark of the first half and was unassisted.  She recorded three shots and was the only Bulldog to find the back of the net.  The Lions (3-3 overall) out-shot DeSales (5-3 overall) 18-16 and held a 7-3 edge on penalty corners but were unable to sneak anything past sophomore goalkeeper Amy Zoltek (Harleysville, PA/Lansdale Catholic) who stopped nine shots en route to her first career shutout.
